Meet the Baker

Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Jill - the girl behind the kitchen counter. The Little Chip was born from an obsession with Chocolate Chip cookies coupled with a passion for making others happy through sweets. My goal is, and always will be, to create food that invokes a feeling. I want every bite to feel like home, to resurrect a memory, and to put a smile on your face.

My baking origins started very young…

I’ve been baking as soon as I was old enough to stand on a chair next to my mom - dusted in flour and smeared with chocolate. Food has always been an important piece of my family and recipes have been handed down through generations. Creating something delicious from scratch coupled with tradition is what captured my attention as a young girl and helped my passion grow.

About Jill of the Little Chip

Jill grew up in Southeastern Wisconsin and after graduating with an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management she went on to work in a few boutique hotels while dreaming of being a General Manager one day. It wasn’t until she met her husband, Aaron, and moved further west into the city that her dreams had changed.

Jill currently works in the powersports industry and runs The Little Chip on the side. She’s always baked for friends and family, and finally took the leap in June of 2018 to open her cottage bakery out of her home. Her ultimate dream is to have her own bakery/cafe combo (complete with comfy chairs, a library of books, and a real fireplace), but for now she enjoys the balance between her full-time job, being a wife and mother of two, and her passion.
